Our 2024/25 Season

Lasa Ng Imperyo

DBLSPK Mainstage
January 30 - February 8, 2025
The NEST, Granville Island

In a surprising fusion of theatre and gastronomy, this Tagalog adaptation of A Taste of Empire guides audiences across the layered history of Philippine cultural heritage through a live cooking demonstration. As a dish of stuffed milkfish comes to life, so do the stories within its ingredients, prompting reflections on how colonial legacies shape today’s global food market.

The Multicultural Mixdown

The Multicultural Mixdown is a night of mixed performances with the aim of creating a fun, energetic vibe on Saturday, June 28th. In it, we will be hosting performers, and visual artists from a multitude of backgrounds in the Progress Lab studio in East Vancouver. This free event will celebrate Multiculturalism Day the best way we know how, by throwing a party for our community and showcasing some amazing artists. We are so excited to bring you an evening featuring the work of ten incredible artists.

Tickets are free and food will be provided. Just bring yourself, some cash or card for the bar and your good vibes. We hope to see you there and to have you smiling so big it hurts!
